Changelog
What's new.
xoop changes fast. Here is every update, newest first, in plain words. Updates install themselves; you'll see “Restart to update” when one is ready.
1.2.120 October 2026
Your phone keeps working with an updated PC
- The phone app connects to a PC on 1.2. The phone app updates a little after your PC does. Until it had, a PC on 1.2.0 could leave it unable to connect. 1.2.1 fixes that.
1.2.020 October 2026You decide
You decide the rules, a cleaner app, a bigger browser view
xoop no longer decides for you what you may ask. Your access level and your own rules do.
- Rules, first in You. Pick Manual, Auto or Full, see what xoop always checks, and add rules of your own. Manual asks before anything it can't take back. Auto just works, and asks about money outside your rules, installs, deletes you didn't ask for, and using your screen. Full never asks, except to pay outside your rules or when a web page or email is steering it somewhere you didn't name.
- No more refusals. WhatsApp is an app like any other: a message there goes the way your level says. xoop installs what a job needs, opens a folder or a terminal when you ask, and uses your own browser or mail app when you name it.
- Money rules for any shop, in any currency. Pay without asking at one shop or at any shop, up to a limit, in your own currency. Without a rule, every payment asks. Your rule now decides on its own: no more “the first payment at a shop always asks” or “never while you're away”.
- A few checks stay, at every level. One ask when a web page, email or file it read points it somewhere you didn't name, and one ask before anything nobody could undo, like wiping a disk or deleting Windows. Helpers and background work only read, only you change what xoop may do, and xoop's own keys never leave your PC.
- A browser you can actually see. A job's live browser takes about half the page, and its edge drags wider. Bigger shows it over the whole window, with Full screen for the monitor. Pop out puts it in a window of its own that stays while you move between jobs.
- Scheduled, on Jobs. Your scheduled jobs have a small section of their own on Jobs, with Run now, Pause and Delete.
- Gone, so the app is simpler and faster: older features few people needed. The crew of bots, the sky on Today, ⚡ skills by heart, one-tap links, look ahead, panels and projects are out, and so is the “Show old features” switch. Your memories, scheduled jobs and your xoop stay.
1.1.619 October 2026
Updates that open straight away
- The new version opens as soon as it's installed. The installer used to ask Windows to open xoop, and sometimes Windows never did. xoop then sat closed for a minute and a half and went back to the version before. Now the installer opens xoop itself.
- No more waiting if it doesn't open. From now on, if xoop isn't open 3 seconds after an update, it's started again, up to three times.
- Shortcuts that point nowhere get fixed. A Start menu or desktop shortcut left pointing at an old copy of xoop is pointed back at xoop, so Windows no longer offers to delete it.
1.1.519 October 2026
A new look: your jobs on the left, the details on the right
- Every job in one list. A sidebar shows your jobs in four groups: Needs you, Working, Today and Earlier. Search, New job and All jobs sit at the top, and Stop all sits beside Working. You can hide it to a slim strip of icons.
- Home is a new job. On your PC, Home is now just xoop, one line about how things stand, the ask box and anything that needs you. Your phone keeps the list on Home.
- The details beside each job. On the right: where it runs, its folder, how its checks went, the files it made or changed (with Put in place and Undo), and your other jobs, each with Stop. Short on room? The same cards open from a button.
- Calmer colours, clearer type. Quiet greys in light and dark, a new typeface, and coral only for xoop and for what is working right now.
1.1.419 October 2026
Updates that always come back, and a calmer frame
- An update never leaves xoop closed. If the new version doesn't start, xoop starts it itself. If going back to the version before fails too, xoop still opens. Missing Start menu and desktop shortcuts come back on their own.
- No big orange button. A new ask is now New, a quiet item beside Jobs and You, on your PC and your phone.
- Nothing covers your jobs. On Home, the floating “working · Stop all” bar is gone: each working job has its own Stop.
1.1.318 October 2026
Your files, edited in place, and no mess
- Edits land on your file right away. When xoop changes your deck, sheet or files, the change goes onto the original as each step ends. The old version is kept for Undo for 30 days, so there are no “(changed)” copies and no “Put in place” to press.
- Nothing left lying around. Scripts xoop writes for itself, unzipped files and downloads only the job needs stay in the job's own folder and are cleared when it ends. Nothing lands in Downloads, Documents or Desktop unless it's what you asked for.
- New slides look like yours. Slides added to a deck you made take its titles, colours and fonts, and xoop looks at them next to one of yours before it says done.
- You can follow what it's doing. What xoop says while it works stays on the job page, and its steps sit under one quiet “Used 3 tools” line you can open.
1.1.218 October 2026
One conversation, never stuck
- A job reads like a conversation. Every ask stays where you asked it and every answer sits under its ask, so a follow-up never hides what came before.
- Steps as one quiet line. “Ran 3 steps · 15 s” opens in place to show each step, its details and screenshots.
- Never looks stuck. Pressing Enter opens your ask at once, the line says what xoop is doing and counts the seconds when it's quiet, and the answer streams in as it's written.
- A cleaner ending. How the job went sits in a small card under the answer. After a follow-up it lists only what that follow-up made.
1.1.118 October 2026
A calm job page
- While a job works, one line. What it's doing now, a short checklist and the time left. Its working-out stays folded under Steps.
- The result once, at the end. The answer, one preview and the files it made, with “Show more” for the rest.
- Plain questions. “Upload medicube-toner.jpg to Ads Manager?” says what goes where, and jobs on xoop Fast or Smart aren't stopped to ask about a budget.
- The live view shows your screen, not xoop. While a job works on your screen, xoop keeps its own window out of the picture.
1.1.017 October 2026
Checked, staged, undoable
- Every job says how it went, honestly. Done (with what was checked), Done but not checked, Partly done, Couldn't, or Needs you. Nothing turns green unless something about the work really passed.
- Undo for every change to your files. xoop works on copies first and puts changes in place only once the job is checked. One tap puts everything back, for 30 days.
- It leaves your screen alone. No more borrowing your mouse, and Office and Outlook don't open by themselves. File work happens in the background.
- A new job page. What you asked, the result with previews, then Open, Change something, Undo and thumbs.
- Hand it off and walk away. “Got it · about 8 min · you can close this”, a sound when it needs you or finishes, and “Give to xoop…” in File Explorer.
- Better at real jobs. Tidies huge folders in minutes, edits the PowerPoint you already have, adds rows to your spreadsheets, runs Node.js and Python for code jobs, and asks first if you forgot the file.
1.0.214 October 2026
Your model, your screen
- The model you pick finishes the task. No more waiting for another one: mail, payments and signed-in pages included.
- “Use my Chrome” means your Chrome. Ask for your own browser, your laptop or a Windows app, and xoop works right there, where you're signed in.
1.0.114 October 2026
Enter takes you there
- Press Enter and you're in the task, watching it work, instead of a small card on Today.
- A tidier model pick. One button beside attach: Fast, Smart or Ultra, each with its own mark.
1.0.014 October 20261.0
Pick your brain, and it stays picked
- Choose the model before you ask. Under the ask box, xoop Fast is picked for you; switch to xoop Smart, xoop Ultra or a model of your own for just that task.
- Each conversation keeps its model. Switching one, or changing your default, never changes the others.
- No surprise switches. When xoop Fast and xoop Smart are offline, your task waits for them and says so. Moving it to xoop Ultra is your call, one tap away.
- “Replace files”, not “Delete”. When a step would overwrite files, the card asking you says exactly that.
0.7.714 October 2026
Pictures in your documents, and a finish line
- Pictures in Word and PowerPoint. Decks are built on your own template's layouts, and you can change one slide without redoing the deck.
- Downloads land in your Downloads folder, with Undo, and xoop asks before saving a program.
- Email goes the way you asked: from your own browser, from Gmail, or from xoop's browser.
- Search that doesn't give up. When a search engine blocks it, xoop searches in its own browser instead.
- A finish check. xoop does everything on its checklist, or tells you plainly what it didn't get to.
0.7.613 October 2026
xoop Fast, first
- The quickest brain is now the default. When xoop Fast is busy, xoop moves to xoop Smart or xoop Ultra by itself.
- Fast and Smart can see pictures now, too.
- You, one section at a time: a short menu with the section beside it, or on its own screen on a phone.
0.7.5Reached you inside 0.7.6, 13 October 2026The big one
Today, Crew and You
The app, rebuilt around three places, with a new way to decide what xoop may do on its own.
- Three places. Today for what's happening and what xoop found for you, Crew for your bots, You for everything about you.
- Permissions. Pick how far xoop goes: “Just do it, within what I asked”, “Ask before money leaves”, or “Ask before anything I can't take back”. Set spending limits per shop (in rupees at first; in any currency since 1.2.0), which only applied while you were at your PC.
- Receipts for everything. Every send, payment and download is written down before it happens, so it's never done twice, even after a crash. Each errand ends with a receipt, with Undo where there's a real undo.
- Sign in to your sites once in xoop's browser, and it stays signed in on this PC.
- The ⚡ chip. Start typing and press Tab to run a skill by heart, about a second a step.
- Coming up. Put things on a schedule in plain words, and choose whether each one only looks, stops before paying, or goes ahead.
- Your phone. Link it by checking four matching digits. Notifications say who needs you and for what, never the amount, money takes your fingerprint or face, and what you send while the PC sleeps runs when it wakes.
- Safer updates. Updates are signed, and every release has to pass a safety exam before it reaches you.
- Invite friends. Finish a few errands and run one ⚡ skill, and you get five invites. Your friends skip the line.
- Your data, your call. Export everything in one zip, or delete everything, from You → Privacy.
0.7.411 October 2026
Finished work folds away
- A finished task shows one line, “Worked for 1 m 51 s · 16 steps”, then just the answer. Tap the line to see every step.
0.7.311 October 2026
Answer cards
- Figures, trends and comparisons come back as a chart, a comparison table or a sparkline, right in the task.
0.7.0–0.7.210 October 2026
A browser that sees what it did
- After each click, xoop's browser sees what changed on the whole page, drawers and pop-ups first.
- A checklist for every request, one you can put away, and a clock on every run.
- Window buttons that sit on the sky, a soft fade under the dock, and xoop's own confirm dialog.
0.6.010 October 2026
Decks designed for their subject
- Every deck gets its own design: colours and type chosen for the subject, motifs, icons, funnels, pyramids and timelines.
- The weather where you really are, and the sky behind Today to match.
0.5.010 October 2026
Memory that scales
- xoop remembers thousands of things and keeps the ones that matter most in mind for every task.
- It saves quietly, with Undo, and shows you everything it learned in the last 30 days.
- One space for everything. No more switching between work and personal.
0.4.7–0.4.89 October 2026 · reached you inside 0.5.0
Fast repeats
- xoop can redo an errand from memory, without thinking it through again.
- Private one-time codes. You type the code in its own box; the AI never sees it.
- Your details, like your name, phone and addresses, fill in forms and deliveries.
- Ask for more while it's busy: a second request runs as its own task, alongside.
- Long documents are written in parts, and a long write keeps its turn alive.
0.4.69 October 2026
Your crew arrives
- Bots with their own job, memory and skills, and a dock to keep them in.
- A bigger toolkit: a hidden terminal that asks before anything risky, editing and searching inside files, checklists, skill files, connectors and hooks.
0.4.0–0.4.58 October 2026
Three brains, and you can see them think
- xoop Fast, xoop Smart and xoop Ultra, with a proper menu, and you can switch in the middle of a task.
- See xoop think: its latest thought shows while it works.
- Controls in the ask box, and file attaching you can rely on.
0.3.98 October 2026
Pick up where it left off
- Tasks resume after a restart or an update, by themselves.
- Ctrl + Alt + Space calls xoop up over any window.
- Your own template: colours and fonts from your PowerPoint or Word file.
- Result cards with Open and Show in folder, and Report a problem, which leaves out passwords, keys and card numbers.
0.3.0–0.3.87–8 October 2026
Real documents
- Documents in one step: Word, PowerPoint and Excel, made by xoop itself.
- Consultant-grade decks with native, editable charts, built in batches when they're long.
- Working folders, and xoop on your screen while it works.
- Long documents are read once and noted; the app tells you when an update is ready.
0.27 October 2026
The new xoop for Windows

- Pick your xoop: thirteen characters to choose from.
